SILVERSCREEN - The Little Prince

I just watched the movie adaptation of Antoine De Saint Exupery's The Little Prince and it made me teary eyed like how it did when I first read the book.

The side story of how the little girl meets the aviator is one classic interpretation of how an adult reader might actually feel when reading the book. The realizations made by the little girl is quite touching and heartwarming.

The revelation of whatever happened to the little prince though was a bit childish and not really needed. It was probably needed for the whole "little girl" plot but it kinda removed the mystery and the magic of the original story. If looked at as a separate movie, it was nicely done but it's kinda hard to accept a different ending for such a beautiful story.

Animation was nicely done. The illustration of the little prince was very much how one would envision it when read and it was amazing how watching the movie made it feel like the book came to life.

All in all, it was a heart warming movie. The book (as always) is much better but the story and the magic of the The Little Prince is so timeless that it transcends even when shown in a different light.
