SPOONFUL - Dinner at Tiyo's

Patio restaurants have a certain appeal. They are very homey, it's as if you are dining at the comforts of your own home but still enjoy the service of a restaurant. And that's how you should always feel in these type of setup.

This restaurant I am about to share to all of you is probably one of the homiest I have ever been to. It sits at the heart of Marikina City and its neighbors are all residential areas. If not for it's sign and lights, you'd probably think that it's just a house with a big yard.

Let's take a closer look at Tiyo's Cuisine by Chef and Brewer

When you have a trusted restaurant bring their food in an intimate setup, you know that you're in for a treat. Yes, a fine dining setup feels exquisite but most of the time what you need is something that is just relaxing and comfortable. And that's how dining at Tiyo's Cuisine felt like.

Here is what we tried. I dare you not feel hungry after.

We be drinkin. Watermelon! LOL. Love this! It was so refreshing!

Pinakbet

Dinuguang Bagnet

Halaan soup

Sinuglaw

Surprise of the night! They serve brewed coffee for only one peso!
I'm not a coffee drinker but I tasted this one peso cup and it was not bad. It was not bad at all. You could not even tell that it was only for a peso.

Blueberry cheesecake

Crispy pata

Okay, most of the food is great. The dinuguan was a bit lack luster and the pinakbet needs a tad more bagooong but it was definitely nice. The best one would be the crispy pata. I mean, you could never go wrong with deep fried pork leg. but it was tender and done right, so it was nice.

Anyway, aside from their Filipino dishes, they also serve American and European fusion dishes that I can't wait to try. I am definitely coming back.
