SPOONFUL - Beef Misono Rice Bowl

Japanese cuisine is one of my favorites. It uses simple ingredients yet is still very flavorful. This beef misono rice bowl uses staple kitchen ingredients yet still have all the right flavors.

Beef misono is one of the most common teppanyaki. It's easy to make and is the perfect quick meal.

Here is the recipe:

Beef, sukiyaki cut
Soy sauce
Black pepper, ground
Rice wine
Butter
Oil
Garlic, minced
Carrots, julienned

1. Marinate beef in soy sauce, and black pepper.
2. In a skillet, heat some oil.
3. Toast the minced garlic just until color changes. Remove from heat and drain.
4. In a different pan, heat some oil.
5.Add marinated beef and saute. When beef starts to cook, add rice wine and butter.
6. Add the toasted garlic and remove from heat.
7. In a small pan, heat some butter and toss in the carrots.
8. Serve the  beef misono on top of a rice bowl, with the carrots on the side.

It's that easy. Now you can enjoy a Japanese meal at the comforts of your own home.

Happy cooking!
