SILVERSCREEN - Finding Dory

Finally! The sequel to Finding Nemo, which was announced about 2 years ago by Ellen Degeneres herself, is now here! Dory, the lovable but forgetful blue tang fish is back and she is in for an adventure!

I know it's a bit late to post this review since the movie came out and I have watched it a week ago. But we've waited for the movie for about a decade. What's a week compared to that right?

Anyway, in this sequel, Dory sets out to find her parents after getting a flashback from her childhood. Everyone knows she suffers from short term memory loss and the possibility of her remembering her childhood home and her parents is quite impossible. But the ever positive fish is determined to find out where she came from. With new found friends and some friends from her childhood, will Dory be able to find out where she came from? Well, you have to watch the movie to find out.

Personally, Finding Nemo is one of my favorite Disney and Pixar movie. It's amazingly breathtaking and sweet. Finding Dory entails the same magic as the first movie. However, as with most sequels, the first is always better. It's quite predictable, what would happen with Dory but still it was breath taking and sweet.

The new characters were as lovely and funny. You've got a nearsighted humpback whale, a beluga whale with an inferiority complex, an octopus with issues and a crazy deranged bird. Not the best kind of friends if you're lost and finding your way back but probably the perfect kind of friends a forgetful blue tang needs.

Dory's task of finding her parents when she can't remember anything from her past, might seem impossible. But as she always say, just keep swimming. And it might actually pay off.

Finding Dory opened last June 16 in cinemas worldwide
